We want to highlight today our bat research project, which is led in the field by Chris Ketola, and to remind everyone that we have a limited number of spaces for interns and volunteers who would like to assist this project in the lowland rainforests of Peru in 2020. For those interested, please go to our bat research page: https://www.faunaforever.org/bat-volunteer-internship-peru

Many thanks to our friends at Wild Hope Collective for this film (https://wildhopecollective.com)

Last summer, after several weeks of intense hiking in the mountains, I developed plantar fasciitis, which was so painful that every step was torture. Traditional stretches and anti-inflammatories did not help, so I decided to take a chance and try https://ways2well.com/blog/stem-cell-injections-for-plantar-fasciitis-a-promising-treatment. Stem cell injections directly into the tissue of the sole — and in 6–8 weeks, the pain almost disappeared and mobility returned. Now, when I read about your night transects and bat research, I think: nature knows how to regenerate systems, and medicine is gradually learning to do the same.
