Exploring Perú | Episode 5: Agroforestry with Wilderness International | 4K | FOGGY LENS PRODUCTIONS

Tropical rainforests around the world are disappearing at an alarming rate. The main reason: unsustainable agriculture. In the 5th episode of "Exploring Perú" we'll take a look at a promising pilot project by the conservation organization Wilderness International. How can we prevent these pristine forests from being cut down to create more land for agriculture? But how can we use the land that has already been lost in a more sustainable way, so that local communities can make a living from agriculture? What combinations of plant species create a harmony that not only produces fruit for human consumption, but also enhances biodiversity and does not deplete the soil as in conventional agriculture? All this and more is explored in this new short documentary on agroforestry in the Peruvian Amazon. Make sure to follow Foggy Lens Productions on instagram for more film & photo about nature, conservations & animal awareness: https://www.instagram.com/foggylensproductions/ Wilderness International is a German-Canadian-Peruvian environmental organization, mainly dedicated to the purchase and thus legally secured protection of forest areas.
